U Undergraduate: We create change and make impact today. We remember what it is like to be a secondary school student because we were in those shoes recently. G Global: We teach skills to for students expand their impact beyond the borders of their home country. Gain awareness of pressing universal issues, and how they manifest in students’ own communities around the world. E Education: We focus on active learning and collaboration. Our programming is designed to teach students about our world’s most pressing issues. We design all of our content in-house and give them the tools they need to lead local and global change. M Movement: We sustain impact beyond events. Students go on to create real tangible change in their local communities and across the world, fueling a true global movement led by youth.

Global citizenship is at the core of HUGEM’s mission. Every year, HUGEM designs, plans, and leads social innovation conferences, leadership workshops, and philanthropic initiatives, inspiring youth leaders across the globe and teaching interdisciplinary skillsets that they need to take action to solve the most pressing problems in their communities.

A GlobaL Community

Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, our alumnus network extends from tech hubs in Silicon Valley to revolutionary educational programmes in Amritsar and Manila. With partners in more than 12 countries, we’ve connected with pioneers at the cutting edge of ecotechnology, international policy, neuroscience, and beyond. Our masterclasses are uniquely tailored to the interests of each and every student.

Transformative Experiences

At HUGEM, we see education as a catalyst for change. Participants in our international conferences have gone on to pursue social innovation projects, apply their new technical skills in post-secondary schools, and implement change in their communities inspired by their HUGEM experience.
