Event models

Each year, we develop programs with the central theme of global citizenship. To HUGEM, global citizenship means two things. First, learning how challenges in your community intersect or overlap with the most pressing international issues. We empower youth to be aware of their connection to the world, and to embrace their education and future careers with empathy and autonomy. Second, HUGEM students proactively learn skills like leadership and critical thinking, so they can make an actionable impact on the local, national, and international stages. HUGEM leadership workshops, entrepreneurial pitch challenges, and pre-professional conferences strategically combine opportunities to learn from Harvard Trainers, practice problem-solving, and network with peers who are also excited to enhance their knowledge and skills. These conference models offer the best strategic development of these skills and opportunities for youth.
