HUGEM seminar on social innovation and project development

In partnership with Ascent Academy, the HUGEM Seminar on Social Innovation and Project Development (HSIP) invites a small group of middle and high school students from Taiwan and to Harvard University and are led by Harvard students in developing a social innovation project. Project aimed at addressing a specific challenge within communities or a broader societal issue. Students were mentored to propose a creative and sustainable solution that leverages technology, community engagement, and/or novel approaches to bring about positive change.


Skill Development

HSIP participants engaged in interactive sessions, cultivating vital skills like time management, effective communication, and critical thinking. Engaging activities foster teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence.


Shark Tank Case Study

Students participated in analysis of the shark tank proposal for Scrub Daddy, one of the show’s most widely known products. Mentors guided students through what makes a successful proposal and important considerations through marketing techniques and business decisions.
